My last semester...until the next one :)

I am so excited that I have registered for all the classes I need to finish up my degree! It has taken so long to get here, and I cannot believe there is finally an end in sight! I will be graduating this December! I told my husband all I want for Christmas is a license plate holder that says UCO Alumni :) As ecstatic as I am to be done with this chapter of my education, I am just not ready to stop. So, sometime in the next couple of weeks I am going to campus to talk with Dr. Carroll about applying for grad schoool! Call me crazy, but I can't imagine my life without school in it right now. I am still a little up in the air about what my Master's degree will be. I love my English classes, and I have really enjoyed nearly all of my classes...but part of me really thinks I should switch it up a bit for the next level. I want my Master's to open more doors for me. I still want to teach right now, but I also know that teaching is often not a lifelong career, and I would like to have a few options when I get burnt out (which apparently happens to most teachers). I am thinking about guidance counseling or something in business (although that one is probably not going to happen...too many numbers involved). Anyway, who knows...guess I have a little soul searching to do!

  3. Congratulations on your degree. I am graduating in May with a B.A. in English and start grad school in August. I am getting my Master's degree in Composition and Rhetoric. I thought about changing my course as well, but I love English. I am sure you will figure it out. Good luck!
