Cry it Out

My son is ten months old and still will not go to sleep on his own. Everynight, he ends up in my bed, and has NEVER slept in his crib for more than an hour. So, tonight I have finally had enough and am giving "sleep training" a try. There are many different methods, which many experts have sold millions of books that all boil down to the same concept. Let them cry themselves to sleep. This is torture. While I am writing this, I am listening to him scream for me, and every motherly cell of my body is wanting to go to him and rock and comfort him. I hope he doesn't last too long.
