I have always tried to keep my online representations of myself fairly a-political. I destest the way people really make politics personal, and being a liberal thinker in the land of the elephant means that I am often insulted for my views. (Try supporting Obamacare!) Anyway, I am going to make an exeption here.
First, keep in mind that I have not seen any Tea Party candidates give exact figures of cuts in spending, they seem to have relied on vagueness to get through the elections when it comes to what exactly will be cut. (I do think spending needs to be controlled, but I am reasonable in my knowledge that this probably should not include HUGE tax cuts for people who make TONS of money). Well, getting to the point, today I saw an interview of Rand Paul. He FINALLY gave a specific example of what should be cut. 10% of federal jobs= cut. 10% of the saleries of the remaining federal employees = cut. So, basically, if you thought your job was safe because you work for the government...see you in the unemployment line!
